OLD Lecture Notes

Unit 1    Recommended Books

Unit 2    Molecular Conceptor / Structure based drug design

Unit 3: Chemotherapeutics and Antibiotics

Learn the names chemical structure classes of Antibiotics using the pdf file of the learnig cards

Unit 4  Discussion of Quinolone Antibiotics. In this unit the articles on quinolones were discussed and an introduction to reading original research articles (using this article of J. Med. Chem. on quinolones) was covered. Additionally some issues about the Molecular Conceptor software were discussed.

Unit 5    Antivirals

Stutents will prepare for this unit by reading chapter 17 (Antiviral Agents) of the book "An Introduction to Medicinal Chemistry" by Graham L. Patrik 3rd Edition. (see link to the pdf file by clicking on chapter 17). In the lecture we will discuss questions raised by the students.
